A Journey Through The Diaspora

The Prince George’s African American Museum & Cultural Center (PGAAMCC) and the Museu Afro-Brasil was awarded the 2013-2014 Museums Connect grant for the project A Journey through the African Diaspora. Both museums partnered with school groups within their local communities. Both school groups will work with their local museum to research the African Diaspora and engage in a Cultural Exchange in the spring of 2014. Museums Connect is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by the American Alliance of Museums.
